PoDQA (Portal Data Quality Assesment) is a tool which is orientated towards measuring the quality of data in a Web portal. This tool was designed to carry out an assessment of data quality,
and is based upon a data quality model which centres on the perspective of the user (or data consumer).
The objective of the PoDQA tool is, therefore, to generate an assessment which is similar to that of a data consumer.
In order to measure the data quality in a Web portal, the tool must both download and analyse all of the portal’s public pages.
The assessment is, therefore, not carried out immediately. When a portal assessment is requested, we shall you ask for your e-mail
address so that once the assessment has been completed we can notify you to return to the site to check the results.
Depending upon the data quality model used, the data quality may be evaluated either globally or in one of the following categories:
* Intrinsic Data Quality
* Operational Data Quality
* Contextual Data Quality
* Representational Data Quality
To indicate the assessment process required, select the Assess a portal option.
